Had a great New years stay here. The staff are great. Knowledgeable of the area, of course, and are extremely helpful. Having to stay another night in Liverpool, Stephen (general manager) managed to fix it so we could not only stay in the hotel but also the same room! The location is absolutely the best place to be and we would definitely look to book here in the future and would call direct for the best possible deal. I'm sure Stephen & his staff would welcome the repeat business. Speaking with staff on New Years Eve (after viewing the fireworks from the roof terrace) there are many plans to refurbish and improve the rooms in the hotel. Would love to see this come to fruition for the hotel and to justify the passion and enthusiasm the owners and the staff have for this great looking building. Thanks all, maybe see again in 2026.!

Visited this Hotel to view the Titanic Exhibition which was well worth a visit & rang that morning to ask about possibility of booking last minute Afternoon Tea. Such a lovely Can Do attitude from Brad on reception, telling me he would speak to the chef & find out for me If I rang back 1/2 hour later. Nothing too much trouble for him or for waiting on staff in the restaurant. Wonderful old building, hope the owner can fully refurbish it the way they want. All the staff are a real credit to the hotel. Lovely view from side balcony off restaurant

Had a lovely time staying at this hotel given its history of the place. Very conveniently placed Next to St James Street station. The room was a lot bigger. I thought whether high ceilings and vast spaces. The spa bath was certainly an added feature and was definitely used. Friendly staff and very well priced at the time I would definitely come here again

Wee bit date but great place to stay in Liverpool. You can see how up market it was in its heyday. Great location in Liverpool. Rooms need a bit of TLC but I belive the new owners are hoping to sort that. Good value for money so we'd probably stay again if ever visiting Liverpool again.

We didn’t stay in the hotel, but we attended the Grand Hall opening night after seeing it advertised on Facebook. I do think they might’ve forgotten about our table at first — we waited a while for our starter — but to be fair, it was opening night, and once we mentioned it, the staff sorted it straight away. Apart from that small hiccup, the evening was fantastic. The food was amazing, the staff were friendly and professional, and the overall service was excellent. We loved the setup — a roast dinner with a string quartet — and asked if it would be a regular event. The waiter said they were trying new things to see what worked, which makes sense for a new venue. What really stood out was how invested the whole team seemed in making the place a success. You could tell they genuinely cared. I’m not sure what the Grand Hall will be used for in the future, but after tonight’s experience, I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for more events. We also visited the roof bar, which feels like stepping back in time. The balcony has one of the best views of Liverpool, and the barmaid was an absolute ray of light — so friendly and welcoming. Overall, a great night — keep up the good work!

Went to the Titanic exhibition. It was well worth it and lovely to be held in the White Star hotel, it added to the experience, the exhibition was very good, afterwards we went upto the Quarterdeck at the top of the building for a drink and to have a look of the view from the balcony seating area. The drinks were reasonably priced and the staff were polite.

We didn't actually stay at the hotel but did the tour after visiting the Titanic exhibition. We were guided by Jon who was friendly, knowledgable and passionate about the hotel. He showed us so many lovely and quirky features. Thank you Jon. The rooms looked lovey, and the bar and restaurant on the top floor gave beautiful views of the city. There is still work going on to improve the Spa areas but it will be amazing when finished. The hotel is in the perfect position for visiting Liverpool being close to the underground station and the many waterfront features.
